Mumbai Airport Sees 7% Surge in Passenger Traffic, Topping 1.34 Crore in Q2
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) in Mumbai experienced a 7 percent increase in passenger numbers in the second quarter compared to the first quarter, totaling 1.34 crore passengers. This included 37 lakh international and 97 lakh domestic travelers. April saw 43 lakh passengers, May witnessed a peak of 47 lakh with the highest single-day travel on May 18, and June had 43.9 lakh passengers. Domestic flights increased by 4 percent compared to the first quarter. Delhi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad were the top domestic destinations, while Dubai, Singapore, and London led international travel. IndiGo, Air India, and Vistara were the leading airlines, with IndiGo accounting for 50 percent of the passengers.
